When an injection beats a drip

A vitamin injection is the right answer when you already know the specific nutrient you want, you don’t need a liter of fluids, and you don’t have 30–60 minutes to spare. IM injections also tend to be priced at roughly a quarter to a third of a full drip, which makes them the economical option for a monthly wellness habit.

That said, drips have a place shots don’t — they deliver a balanced blend in a single session, they include rehydration, and they allow for higher total doses. Most of our regulars combine the two: one loaded drip a month, plus a weekly or bi-weekly B12 or Biotin injection in between.

Our injection menu

B12 (methylcobalamin)

The most-requested shot. Methylcobalamin is the bioactive form of B12 — no conversion required. Supports energy metabolism, red blood cell production, and nervous-system function. Especially helpful for vegetarians, vegans, older adults, anyone on acid-blocking medication (which reduces B12 absorption), and clients with a history of fatigue that labs couldn’t otherwise explain.

Vitamin D

Sandy gets roughly 220 sunny days a year, but we also spend a lot of the winter indoors and bundled up. Vitamin D insufficiency is common across Utah adults, particularly October through March. A D injection bypasses the skin-to-liver-to-kidney pathway and lands immediately in your reserves. Popular as a fall/winter monthly.

Biotin (B7)

Hair, skin, nails. Biotin is a cofactor in keratin production, and insufficiency can show up as brittle nails and hair thinning. The IM shot delivers a higher dose than most oral supplements — and bypasses the absorption variability that makes oral biotin hit-or-miss.

B6 (pyridoxine)

Often added when the goal is mood, PMS support, or nausea reduction. Also part of a B-complex stack for metabolism. Less commonly requested solo but frequently added to the B12.

NAD+ IM injection

The intramuscular version of our most-requested longevity therapy. Not a replacement for a full IV course, but a legitimate maintenance option between courses or for clients who want to try NAD+ at a lower commitment level. See our NAD+ page for the full context.

Ask about stacking Many clients book a B12 + Biotin combo on the same visit. Others pair a monthly Myers Cocktail drip with weekly B12 shots. We’ll put together a schedule at your consultation that doesn’t duplicate ingredients.

What to expect

  1. Intake — quick review of medications and recent shots so we don’t double-dose.
  2. Injection — typically in the upper outer quadrant of the glute or the deltoid, depending on dose and preference. A small pinch; most clients say it’s less than a flu shot.
  3. Done. No recovery, no wait. Walk out the door.

FAQ

Does the injection hurt?

Most clients compare it to a flu or COVID shot — a quick pinch and a mild ache in the muscle for a few hours.

Can I get more than one shot in a visit?

Yes. Common combos are B12 + Biotin, B12 + Vitamin D, or B12 + B6.

How fast will I feel it?

B12 often produces a noticeable energy shift within 24–48 hours, especially if levels were low. Biotin is more of a cumulative effect over weeks.

Can I do injections and drips in the same visit?

Absolutely. Many clients do this the first time to front-load a vitamin reset.
